Start Me Up

The first night in our four week music journalism course will take place in McGrattan’s on Tuesday Nov 2nd (please view the ‘about’ section if you don’t know what we’re on about!)

The theme is ‘Start Me Up’ and will act as an introduction to starting out in music journalism.

Speakers on the night include:

Jim Carroll
Music journalist with The Irish Times. The man behind the blog On The Record. Co-founder of the Choice Music Prize.

Sophie Gorman
Editor of Day and Night at the Irish Independent.

Sinead Gleeson

Una Mullally

To secure a place in this first installment of Dancing About Architecture, please leave a comment in the comment section confirming your intention to attend. We’ll get as close to 30 people as possible and then hope you all turn up.

Remember, Dancing About Architecture is a FREE course. You do not have to attend every lecture. Spaces are filled on a first come first serve basis.

  17. Hi,

    My name is Audrey,

I would be very interested in joining your music journalism course.

I have a BA in journalism and have covered many aspects of the media including writing articles, researching and presenting radio shows.

On a professional level I have recently finished a contract as Assistant Editor for Heineken music.ie. My responsibilities were; writing an original weekly feature, daily music news, interviewing bands, reviewing gigs and albums.

Unfortunately this contract was short lived and since then have found it impossible to get back into music journalism.

I strongly believe this course would be very beneficial to someone of my experience,

I look forward to hearing from you,

    Audrey Mulholland

I currently work within the music industry therefore am lucky enough to have the opportunity to attend lots of gigs & listening to new music comes part n parcel with the role.
I currently have a fashion blog where I also intend to write music reviews (hence the name) but have not been confident enough to do so as of yet so I feel that attending this course would be Exactly what I need.

I hope I can be included in the 30 attendees & look forward to hearing from you.

    Kind Regards,

    Roisin
